Spirit Eagle is Chief Ambassador of the US Republic of the Choctaw/Cherokee community – federally recognized as an indigenous nation.  The twelfth of thirteen children, his family lived in Glastonbury where he and his siblings attended school. On weekends the family visited their native domicile in New York state.

Upon birth, Spirit Eagle was not expected to live longer than six months due to extremely delicate health. His father and mother – Chief Sitting Bull and Grand Sachem Whispering Wind, a second-generation medicine woman – refused to accept the doctors’ prognosis. Instead, the parents nurtured and practiced their own healing efforts upon their son to fortify him in body and spirit.  Their son walked the cold earth, repelled the attack of red army ants, and consumed the herbal medicines prepared for him by his parents and grandmother.  From this, the boy evolved to become a strong and capable man.

This extraordinary upbringing with teachings by his mother and grandmother inspired Spirit Eagle to continue his knowledge and practice of plant medicine, nutrition, and health.  He received B.A. and Master’s degrees from Cambridge State University in Hawaii.  From this, the native healer acquired a knowledge of several hundred herbs and their medicinal properties.

Early in his career, Spirit Eagle worked for the State of Connecticut’s Department of Development Services – formerly the Department of Mental Retardation.   In his ten years with this department, he worked with clients identified with aggressive and severe behavioral health issues to help them achieve a sense of peace and normalcy; not only was their supervision and restraint was no longer required, but these clients could function properly on their own at no risk to others. Later, as a Director at the Alternative to Incarceration Center in East Hartford, he provided evaluations and recommendations to juvenile offenders and their families.

Spirit Eagle continues to help individuals overcome a broad range of behavioral and physical health issues.  He has helped people overcome and heal from chronic pain, visual impairment, autoimmune disease, and terminal illness.  He also works with high performance athletes in boxing, cycling, and martial arts.   Today, he offers several products listed on the SHOP page, personal consultations, and high-performance training
